AG&P to invest Rs.220 crore in gas distribution infra in Sri Satya Sai dist.
AG&P Pratham, a leading player in the Indian City Gas Distribution (CGD) industry is all set to invest Rs.220 crore in Sri Sathyasai district in the next six years to develop gas distribution infrastructure. The investment will also provide direct and indirect employment to over 500 people in the district.

In line with the vision of the PM Narendra Modi and CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy AG&P is working tirelessly to usher in a natural gas-based economy. To this end, AG&P is laying gas pipeline networks across Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor, Sri Sathyasai, Sri Balaji (Tirupati), Annamayya and Nellore districts to bring natural gas to the kitchens of domestic customers and to the CNG fuel stations.
As part of its business expansion strategy for Andhra Pradesh, the company is laying a steel grid pipeline from Sira (in Karnataka) to Hindupur to bridge the supply-demand gap for natural gas in Sri Satya Sai and Anantapur districts. The grid pipeline will ensure continuous supply of natural gas to domestic, commercial and transport segments effectively.
Addressing a meeting on Friday, Gumalapalli A Venkatesh, Regional Head, AG&P Pratham, said, "we are working towards making Sri Sathya Sai a cleaner and greener district, by providing easy access to economical natural gas, which is expected to enable the people of the district to lead more sustainable livelihoods. As part of our larger vision for AP, we have decided to set up CGS station in Hindupur and LCNG station at Anantapur, which are strategically located on the NH-44 junction under the jurisdiction of Anantapur Urban Development Authority (AUDA)."
